ABOVE AND BEYOND are producers Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavo Sijamäki. Collectively they have been responsible for some of the world’s biggest club tracks over the last few years and now rank among the most respected trance producers globally, with a number of successful projects including OCEANLAB, FREESTATE, TRANQUILITY BASE, POS, NITROMETHANE and DIRT DEVILS.
After building a strong reputation through remix work for acts like Adamski and Dario G, Above and Beyond’s major breakthrough came when their spec mix of MADONNA’s single “What It Feels Like For A Girl” was accepted. In fact, Madge was so impressed with their version that she decided to shoot a video to the Above & Beyond mix instead of the album version! The infamous video was directed by husband Guy Ritchie. |

The stars must've been aligned just right when Nick van de Wall (also known as Afrojack) saw his first ray of light.
Music was his first love since day one, although it didn't manifest until his fifth year, when he started playing piano. Being a very creative student, Afrojack spent most of his time listening to all kinds of music while studying. To no surprise it didn't take him long to turn the tables around and start to make music instead of just listening to it. |

Danny Masseling's (Angerfist) career began in 2005, when he sent a demo tape to DJ Buzz Fuzz, head of BZRK Records. Buzz liked the tape and signed Masseling, who released his first EPs under the name Menace II Society and Angerfist. He quickly gained respect in the nu style gabber/hardcore scene for his uncompromisingly violent and aggressive sound, characterized by bass drums that are extreme even in gabber rations. He also released records under the name Kid Morbid, Bloodcage, Denekamps Gespuis (which was a one-time alias for a gimmick-track) and Roland & Sherman.

The Beholder; a.k.a. Jeroen Streunding, has a history of successes that is virtually unique. No man has produced so many classics as this man. With this background it’s no wonder that his own labels have very high standards when it comes to putting releases on vinyl. So it may not be a surprise that he is label manager of Seismic Records together with his buddy Balistic.
As producer he is responsible for hardstyle classics like “Beholder & Balistic - Decibel anthem”, “The Beholder & Max Enforcer - Pulse Protraction” and “The Beholder & Balistic Feat. Max Enforcer - Bigger, Better, Louder! (Decibel 2004 Anthem)”. But also his remixes of “DJ Rob – Boy’s Interface” and “Geal - Losing my feeling”, and his recent releases together with DJ Zany like “Euphoria”, “Bleeding for the harder styles” and “The New God” are well known by all hardstyle lovers! |

Liebrand began his DJ-ing career in 1976 at the age of sixteen with his mobile set-up, "The B. Liebrand Audio Studio", playing parties around his hometown of Nijmegen. Two years later, when he became old enough to frequent nightclubs, he moved from mobile discos to a nightclub residency, playing in "Juicy Lucy" nightclub (1978–1979). At this point, he was still letting one record play into another without beatmixing; however in 1979, he began a residency at "The Kwien" (pronounced 'The Queen') nightclub (1979–1980). During this time, Liebrand learned the art of mixing from Kwien resident Huib Luiten.

Catscan is one of the most respected artists in the hardcorescene. Like many other producers, he started making music on his Amiga with the famous Protracker-software. After some years, Bart sent a demo to ID&T, who recognised the talent of the youngster. His first release was on the famous Thunderdome Records label, which was quite an exclusive one, as there were only 750 copies printed of “Universal”. The record became an instant smash, also because of the track “Something Wrong?”, which featured the “Thunderdome – Hardcore Rules The World”-compilation. His second release was even bigger: “Limited 000” is one of the most wanted hardcore-releases up to this very day ( only 300 copies were printed), because of the presence of the absolute killertrack “WO III”, a dark and mysterious masterpiece that smashed every single dancefloor over the last ten years.

For over a decade the house movement has been growing. Day or night people collect in droves to join in the consciousness of the harder house sound. As a new generation of music appreciators develops, so grows CHamp-E-on. Dutch crowd favourite Champ-E-on has been an integral part of the oldschool/hardcore music scene in the Netherlands since his beginnings in 1991. He started his DJ career like many younger dj's on his attic mixing with Lenco turntables without pitch. In those days he also teached his long-time friend Mark Vos dj’ing (not knowing that Mark would become the 1 st generation hardcore superstar dj known as Buzz Fuzz part of the legendary dreamteam). Playing at local parties soon followed, where Champ-E-on defined his own unique style. There has never been a dull moment in his career; due to the skills learnt through hard graft at the decks and endless listening to past, present, and future music, he performs as a potential big time DJ for the future, bringing in not only the flawless mixes but also clownesque entertainment skills most DJ's dare not try in a club or event.

The youth of François Prijt is turbulent. He grew up in the South East of Amsterdam. Some call it the ghetto of Amsterdam and in the year 1984 he makes knowledge with electro music and graffiti which blew over from America. This kind of music and the graffiti was very important for the rest of his music career. After his parents bought a Commodore 64 for him, he began making music. After a while he bought a Amiga 500 inspired through what others with this device can produce, he was fully surrendered in the music. |
